Saudi Arabia’s Construction Cost Index (CCI) rose by 1.1% year-on-year (YoY) in June 2025, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
CCI advanced to 101.2 points in June based on the base year 2023, compared to 100.1 points in June 2024.
The index rise was driven by a 1.2% YoY increase in the construction costs of the residential sector. Similarly, construction costs in the non-residential sector rose 1% YoY.
CCI tracks changes in the prices of goods and services involved in the costs of construction (calculating inflation/deflation in construction and building costs).

The equipment and machinery rental costs added 2.5% YoY, as the costs of rentals with and without operator were up 2.5%.
Energy prices appreciated by 9.9% YoY as diesel costs jumped 27.3% YoY. Labor costs increased by 2.4% YoY as worker wages rose 6.3%.
On the other hand, basic material costs declined by 0.7% in June as other building material prices, and wood went down by 1.9% each respectively.
