Chinese food delivery app Keeta will begin operations in Riyadh tomorrow, Oct. 9, after officially securing its license, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Saleh Al-Zuwayed, spokesperson for the Transport General Authority (TGA).
According to data available to Argaam, food delivery orders in Saudi Arabia exceeded 200 million last year. Riyadh accounted for the largest share, followed by Jeddah and other cities.
In January, TGA issued six executive decisions for the delivery sector, the first phase of which took effect on April 2, 2024. These decisions include obligating non-Saudi workers on delivery apps to join a licensed company in the light transport sector across four provinces.
