Average prices of 83 out of 169 goods and services in 10 categories in Saudi Arabia moved higher year-on-year (YoY) in January 2026, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed. 
Prices of 76 goods and services decreased, while 10 remained stable without change during the same month. Central African lemon recorded the highest price increase in January, up 30.18%, followed by Local Molokhia at 21.96%.
Meanwhile, local round onions recorded the largest decline in price, dropping by 35.64% YoY, followed by imported round onions, which fell by 27.81% YoY.
Prices of 23 housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuel items rose in January, while 14 declined compared to the same period in 2025.
Prices of four pet products and other cultural items increased, while one item declined YoY in January 2026.
In the clothing category, prices of five items increased YoY, while five others retreated YoY for the same month.
Data also showed that within personal care, social protection, and miscellaneous goods and services, one item increased, one declined, and one remained stable in January 2026.
Prices of all four household furniture, appliances, and maintenance items rose.
Likewise, prices of the three health services witnessed a YoY rise in the same month.
For transport services, one rose and the other declined in January 2026.
Regarding restaurants and accommodation services, the price of one service increased during January, while the prices of the other two services decreased.
Under the tobacco category, the price of Marlboro cigarette fell YoY by the end of January.
