Basic Chemical Industries Co. (BCI) extended the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Italmatch Middle East till Dec. 31, 2025. 
In a statement to Tadawul today, the company indicated that Italmatch projects timeline was extended due to increased scope and additional technical work necessary to modify some product process to comply with local market needs, and subsequently adhering to regulatory requirements to obtain the required approvals.

According to data available with Argaam, the company signed on May 22, 2023 a MoU with Italmatch Chemicals to provide chlorine, caustic soda and hydrochloric acid to Italmatch factories in the PlasChem Complex in Jubail Industrial City.
