The project aims to localize the poultry breeding industry and strengthen the food security system in the Kingdom’s poultry sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the ministry said in a statement.

It added that the project’s target production capacity is 15 million parent stock (PS) per year, with the possibility of expansion according to market needs. The company will have full control of the system to ensure quick decision-making and achieve the highest standards of quality and production.

The project aims to establish an integrated system that includes grandparent farms (GP) and support facilities, including a central hatchery, a feed mill, and a specialized laboratory, as part of a future plan to expand grandparent farms in the Kingdom, thereby contributing to enhancing national production and increasing the efficiency of local supply chains.

The ministry also said that the project will help create more than 500 direct and indirect job opportunities and support economic development in the north of the Kingdom by attracting global expertise and localizing modern technologies in poultry production.
