DUBAI — An Asian driver was killed Saturday evening after debris from an aerial interception fell onto a vehicle in the Al Barsha area, authorities said.In a statement, the Dubai Media Office said debris resulting from an aerial interception struck the vehicle, leading to the driver’s death. No further details were provided about the victim.Earlier Saturday, the office reported that debris from another interception struck the facade of a tower in Dubai Marina, causing what officials described as a minor incident with no injuries.Earlier in the day, the UAE Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems intercepted missiles and drones launched from Iran targeting the country.The development came despite Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian saying Saturday that Iran would refrain from attacking neighboring states unless attacks were launched against the country from their territory.
