Dr.RasheedAl-Owain, a businessman and co-founder of Argaam Investment Co., passed away today, April 12, at the age of 67.
Al-Owain served as Vice Chairman of Al Jouf Agricultural Development Co. and Vice Chairman of United Wire Factories Co. (Aslak).
He had a long professional career, during which he held board memberships at several companies.
Al-Owain also held various positions at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology from 1985 to 2006. Prior to that, he worked as a researcher at the National Center for Science and Technology from 1982 to 1985, and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Arizona in the US.
Further, Al-Owain earned a PhD in nuclear engineering in 1996 from the University of Arizona. He also obtained a master’s degree in nuclear engineering in 1985 and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1982, both from King Saud University.
