An ADC offshore rig
Arabian Drilling Co. (ADC) received notices to resume operations for three of its suspended onshore rigs, in line with prevailing daily market rates.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the rigs are expected to resume drilling operations in Q1 2026.
With these recalls, Arabian Drilling will have reactivated 50% of the drilling platforms previously suspended, it added.
The company noted that, together with the two offshore rigs whose reactivation was announced on Oct. 30, and the launch of its first international contract in the GCC region, the overall fleet utilization is expected to reach 80% in Q2 2026, up from 73.8% in Q3 2025.
The planned reactivation of offshore rigs in Q1 2026, alongside the onshore rig restarts, supports the company’s strategic growth trajectory, it added.
CEO Ghassan Mirdad said that resuming operations for the three onshore rigs, just days after the announcement of two offshore reactivations, reflects improving market conditions in the Kingdom and underscores confidence in the company’s expertise and service quality.
The company continues to implement a carefully phased reactivation plan, Mirdad added.
According to data available with Argaam, Arabian Drilling received notices to resume operations at two of its temporarily suspended offshore rigs at current market day rates.
