Almasane Alkobra Mining Co. (AMAK) announced a temporary suspension of base metals processing, zinc and copper concentrates, at Al Masane processing plant for around 16 weeks, starting Jan. 22. 
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the temporary suspension did not include the precious metals processing circuit, while operation will return to full capacity during this period.
AMAK added that the suspension aligned with the company’s 2026 business plan and would contribute to improving and optimizing long term utilization of ore production.
The company noted that the financial impact depended on the actual duration of the processing deferral period and average metals selling prices, adding that the impact would be reflected in the financial results for the first and second quarters of 2026.
