Al-Modawat proceeds with a new expansion phase to meet rising patient demand
Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co.’s board of directors decided to boost the scope of the hospital expansion project, initiating a new phase of construction works, in addition to adding new projects, according to a statement to Tadawul.
This was driven by a noticeable rise in occupancy rates and growing demand for the hospital’s services, the statement added.
The new expansions include expanding the inpatient department in the eastern building by increasing the number of suites by 162%, representing 14% of the hospital’s total bed capacity. These expansions also comprise expanding the physiotherapy department in the eastern building by 400%, enhancing capacity and improving the quality of therapeutic services. There was also the construction of a 40-meter bridge between the main western building and the eastern building, aimed at integrating hospital facilities, improving operational flow, and achieving seamless service connectivity. The company further sought to expand the hospital laundry unit by approximately 58% to support rising operational capacity.
These developments were implemented as follows:
1. The full completion of the second-floor expansion in the main western building, covering 3,000 sqm, which is now operational.
2. The full completion of the mosque, warehouse area, and administrative offices in the eastern building, with operations already underway.
3. The completion of 80% of the 42 new clinics within the eastern building expansion project.
4. The completion of 90% of the radiology department in the eastern building, in preparation for commencing operations.
5. The completion of 60% of the men’s and women’s fitness center.
The relevant financial impact will begin once the project is completed and operational.
Any material developments related to the project will be disclosed in due course.
These expansions come in response to rising demand for its services and will support the company’s growth and operational expansion in the coming period, with an expected positive impact on revenue and profit.
