Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef says women’s participation in the industrial sector doubled in less than a decade

Industrial progress is not measured solely by the number of factories, but by the sector’s ability to achieve industrial inclusiveness, drive innovation and ensure sustainability, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef said.

During his opening speech at the General Conference of the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the minister highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance women’s role in the industrial sector, noting that female participation doubled in less than a decade.

This reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to empowering women and boosting their presence across various manufacturing fields, he said.

The minister stressed the importance of empowering and preparing the youth to lead the future of industry, adding that the ministry is equipping them through advanced programs that include AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
