Speaking to Argaam on the sidelines of the inauguration of the complex in Al Mahjar district, he noted that such high-standard facilities enhance the Kingdom’s logistics sector and attract investment.

The project is part of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS) and the General Logistics Plan, which aims to establish 59 logistics zones.

Al-Jasser highlighted Jeddah’s strategic role, citing the Islamic Port, the Kingdom’s largest, which now hosts 11 developed logistics zones with private investment.

Since the launch of the national strategy, the Kingdom has accelerated projects and reforms, with nearly 30 logistics zones under development.

The current progress reflects strong government commitment and active private-sector support for transport and logistics initiatives, he said.

On economic impact, Al-Jasser said the strategy aims to make Saudi Arabia a global logistics hub. Advanced facilities like Agility’s complex provide new services supporting trade, industry, tourism, and Hajj and Umrah operations.
