RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce has recalled 4,565 Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicles over an instrument panel defect that could cause the engine to shut off while driving, increasing the risk of an accident. The recall covers Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicles from model year 2025. According to the ministry, the defect could cause the fuel level indicator on the instrument panel to display incorrect readings, potentially resulting in the vehicle running out of fuel and the engine shutting off while driving. Owners of affected vehicles are advised to check whether their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is included in the recall through Recalls.sa. The ministry urged affected owners to contact Abdul Latif Jameel Company at 8004400055 to arrange for the instrument panel to be replaced free of charge.
