Khalid Al Maktary, CEO of Fourth Milling Co. (MC4)
In an interview with Argaam, the top executive highlighted that the new flour mill in Al-Kharj will add 750 tons per day of production capacity, raising the branch’s daily processing capacity to 1,400 tons per day, nearly double its current level, and expanding the company’s overall milling capacity by around 24%.
The addition of a feed plant with an expandable production capacity of 240 tons per day will enable the company to use the bran generated by the new Al-Kharj mill to produce value-added feed. This should help meet growing demand for the company’s products in the Central Province, he added.
Commenting on the Q3 2026 financial results, Al Maktary explained that the 7.2% YoY profit hike followed incurring higher operating expenses associated with increased employee costs and commercial activity to support expansion across sales channels. He noted that the reclassification of freight costs raised reported revenue growth to around 12%, compared with approximately 9% on a like-for-like basis.
The CEO also said feed sales volumes surged on an annual basis by 53.8% in Q3 2026, while bran volumes rose 9.8%. Elsewhere, flour sales volumes remained stable YoY, but increased 8.2% QoQ and 5.3% YoY in the first nine months of the year.
He indicated that higher selling prices were the main driver of revenue growth this year, alongside volume growth, stressing that the company continues to monitor market developments and adjust its pricing strategy accordingly.
Regarding government support for wheat, Al-Maktary confirmed that the company had received no updates from the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) regarding the cancellation of subsidies. The current pricing framework will remain in place until an official notification is received.
As for the planned increase in electricity and water tariffs effective January 2027, he said the expected financial impact would not be material to the company’s overall performance. The company is also working on several cost-reduction initiatives expected to have a positive impact on energy consumption in the coming years, with details to be announced once they materialize.
He explained that geopolitical tensions and global challenges had no material impact on the company’s financial results for 9M 2026, as wheat supplies remained uninterrupted with support from the GFSA and the National Grain Supply Company (SABIL).
Al Maktary noted that MC4 continues to monitor geopolitical developments and assess their potential long-term impact on its operations, supported by an operational risk management framework designed to prepare for and address any emerging developments.
He expects the company to maintain its current growth rates in Q4 2026, in terms of both sales volumes and profitability, reaffirming its commitment to product quality and customer service.
According to data available on Argaam, MC4’s profit rose to SAR 159.76 million in the first nine months of 2026, compared with SAR 138.87 million in the same period of 2025. Its Q3 profit reached SAR 55.89 million, up 7% YoY.
