Oil tanks
US commercial crude oil inventories fell for a fourth consecutive week in the seven days ended Oct. 23, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Oct. 28.
Crude stockpiles declined by 1.9 million barrels last week, far exceeding the 100,000-barrel draw forecast by The Wall Street Journal.
What does this mean?
The decline in inventories reflects continued drawdowns from US oil stocks to meet demand amid tight global supplies caused by shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
