Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin will attend the meetings.

Representatives of the pact’s member states are also scheduled to meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei.

The visit is part of ongoing efforts by the Makkah Pact member states to de-escalate tensions among parties to the current crisis, encourage dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and support mediation efforts led by Qatar and Pakistan.

The meetings also aim to underscore the pact members’ role in promoting regional security and stability and to work with countries across the region toward that goal.
