Wazen bin Mubarak Al-Solami, Chairman of Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (Yansab), said global economic activity in Q3 2026 continued to face challenges related to geopolitical developments, fluctuations in product prices, raw material availability, and supply chain disruptions, which drove up logistics and insurance costs.

These conditions placed additional pressure on the sector despite relative improvements in industrial activity and inflation indicators in several key markets, he added, in a statement commenting on the company’s financial results.

Al-Solami further explained that, amid these challenges and evolving conditions, Yansab continued to strengthen its operational and financial performance by coordinating efforts across all its units and maintaining its firm commitment to operational excellence.

“This included maintaining high levels of plant availability, process reliability and operational safety, improving the efficiency of production, resource and supply chain management, proactively managing risks, and exercising financial discipline to control costs,” he said.

He also noted that these efforts enhanced the company’s resilience and operational efficiency, helped mitigate the risks and challenges it faces, and reduced their impact, positively contributing to its performance and financial results during the third quarter.

As per Argaam’s data, Yansab reported a net profit of SAR 507.3 million for the first nine months of 2026, compared with SAR 132.4 million in 9M 2025. Q3 net profit soared 220% year-on-year to SAR 237.3 million.
