Some licensed capital market institutions also offer robo-advisory services, including Derayah Smart, operated by Derayah Financial Co.

The CMA board approved amendments to the Capital Market Institutions Regulations to govern robo-advisory services, which use algorithms and technology to manage client investments based on predefined strategies.

The amendments allow institutions licensed for investment management or investment management and fund operations to offer these services, following a trial by authorized fintech companies through the Fintech Lab.

The amendments aim to improve market efficiency, expand technology-driven financial services, and provide innovative investment solutions for different investor segments, particularly retail investors.
