Al-Jadaan’s statements came during a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from the Middle East and North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He noted that successful economic policymaking during shocks is measured not only by its ability to mitigate the impact of current challenges, but also by its capacity to support future ambitions and sustain the long-term transformation path.

He added that managing prolonged shocks depends not only on the size of available buffers, but also on how they are managed over time while preserving sufficient capacity to respond to future changes.

Al-Jadaan noted that AI readiness is no longer merely a technological issue, but has become part of a broader agenda for growth and strengthening economic resilience.
