Under the agreement, Avalon Pharma will have the exclusive right to use OneSource’s registration dossier to register and market Tirzepatide in a multi-dose pen at strengths of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg, and 15 mg. The product is a generic version of Mounjaro KwikPen and will be marketed in Saudi Arabia and other markets across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with Avalon Pharma serving as the marketing authorization holder.

Avalon Pharma will also have the right to request the transfer of manufacturing technology after the product’s commercial launch.

The agreement will run for 10 years from the launch date and automatically renew for successive one-year periods thereafter.

The contract value represents less than 5% of the company’s total revenue, based on its audited financial statements for 2025, the company said.

Avalon Pharma reported revenue of around SAR 460.5 million in 2025, putting the 5% threshold at approximately SAR 23 million.

The product will be launched in each market only after the expiry of the relevant patents, whether in the launch market or the country of manufacture.

Avalon Pharma expects the agreement to generate cumulative revenue of at least SAR 800 million during the first five years following launch.

The company said the partnership would expand its portfolio of GLP-1 drugs used to treat diabetes and metabolic diseases and strengthen its presence across the MENA region, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

OneSource Specialty Pharma is an India-based company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and supply of pharmaceutical products, including Tirzepatide.
