Al Moammar Information Systems Co. (MIS) said its board approved CEO Abdullah AlGhamdi’s request not to renew his contract due to personal reasons. 
AlGhamdi’s contract will remain in effect until Oct. 31, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Oct. 6.
The board also approved the appointment of Vice Chairman Ibrahim Al Moammar to assume the company’s executive management duties effective Nov. 1, for six months or until a new CEO is appointed, whichever comes first.
Al Moammar’s status on the board will change from non-executive to executive member effective the same date, in accordance with applicable requirements, laws, and regulations.
Al Moammar holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from King Saud University in Riyadh, which he obtained in December 1991.
He has held several current and previous positions, including Vice Chairman of MIS since 2008; Chairman Excellence Medical Systems Co., Excellence Solutions for Information Technology Co., Integrated Excellence for Information Technology Co., and Excellence Application Solutions for Information Technology Co.; and a member of the nomination and remuneration committee since 2022.
He was also General Manager and partner at Electronic Maps Co. from 2008 to 2024 and a board member of Edarat Communication and Information Technology Co. from 2008 to 2019.
