The extraordinary general assembly (EGM) of The Saudi Investment Bank (SAIB) approved last Thursday, Oct. 1 the board of directors’ recommendation to increase the bank’s capital by issuing bonus shares to shareholders at a ratio of one share for every five shares held.
The capital increase will be funded through the capitalization of SAR 1.5 billion from the statutory reserve and SAR 1 billion from retained earnings.

In case of fractional shares, they will be aggregated into a single portfolio for all shareholders, sold at market price, and the proceeds distributed among eligible shareholders according to their respective entitlements within no more than 30 days from the date the shares due to each shareholder are determined.
The fluctuation limits today, Oct. 4, for SAIB will be based on a share price of SAR 12.11and the outstanding orders will be canceled, Tadawul said in a separate statement.
Edaa will deposit the additional shares into investor portfolios by Oct. 6.
