SAKAKA — The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority has achieved a major milestone as 10 of the reserve’s hiking trails received international accreditation. The reserve is the first in Saudi Arabia to earn such recognition, further enhancing the Kingdom’s profile in adventure tourism and ecotourism. The Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation granted the accreditation after comprehensive assessments. The trails met internationally recognized standards, providing a safe environment for mountain hiking and nature exploration. This achievement strengthens the reserve’s position as a leading ecotourism and adventure destination and reflects ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure in line with national goals to enhance quality of life and support sustainable tourism.
