NCM issues red alerts for heavy rain, flash floods across four Saudi regions

JEDDAH— The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) issued red alerts for heavy rain accompanied by flash floods, hail and thunderstorms across parts of Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir and Jazan regions on Tuesday. In Makkah Region, red alerts cover Taif, Al-Ardiyat, Adham and at least four other locations, and Rimah and at least one other location. Orange alerts for moderate rain were also issued for Makkah, specifically innAl-Jumum and Al-Kamil. For Al-Baha, red alerts were issued for Al-Baha and at least five other locations, as well as Al-Hajrah and at least three other locations. In Asir, red alerts cover Rijal Almaa and at least one other location, and Al-Harajah. In Jazan Region, red alerts were issued for Jazan, Al-Darb and at least one other location, and Abu Arish and at least six other locations. As for Madinah, orange alerts were issued for Al-Mahd, Al-Ais, and Badr and at least one other location. Orange alerts were also issued for Al-Aqiq in Al-Baha and Al-Birk and at least one other location in Asir.
