Saudi Arabia’s seaborne cargo volumes rose to more than 341 million tons in 2025, according to data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Outbound shipments reached about 227.2 million tons, up 2% year-on-year (YoY), while inbound volumes grew 5% to nearly 114.3 million tons.
King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu led Saudi ports in exports, handling 51% of the total, or 115.2 million tons.
King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam ranked first in imports, handling 39.2 million tons, or about 34% of total inbound cargo.

King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu accounted for the largest share by weight at 33%, while Jeddah Islamic Port ranked first in handling standard containers with a 47% share. Liquid bulk cargo topped the list of handled goods, with volumes surpassing 144 million tons.
A total of 7,848 vessels docked at Saudi ports. Jeddah Islamic Port received the most vessels, with 2,677, followed by Jubail Commercial Port with 1,256 and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with 1,030.
The report also highlighted container activity, noting that more than 3.89 million inbound and outbound containers were handled, including 1.94 million outbound containers and over 1.95 million inbound containers.
