TABUK — Duba Port Customs in the northwestern Tabuk region has foiled an attempt to smuggle 56,680 Captagon amphetamine pills found concealed inside a commercial truck arriving in the Kingdom through the port. Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi said that customs inspections uncovered the pills hidden across multiple compartments of the vehicle. The spokesperson emphasized that the authority maintains strict border oversight across all land, sea, and air entry points to safeguard society and combat contraband, working with the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.ZATCA urged the public to report suspected smuggling operations or customs violations via the confidential security hotline 1910, email 1910@zatca.gov.sa, or international line 009661910, noting that it offers financial rewards for confirmed tip-offs.
