Fahad Al-Rouq, CEO of Akron Investment, said the company has launched the SAR 5 billion Akron Saaf Real Estate Fund in a strategic partnership with SA’AF Capital to develop a mixed-use real estate project in Riyadh. The project will comprise infrastructure development for residential, commercial and office uses.
Al-Rouq said the fund’s launch aligns with the directives of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to achieve greater balance in Riyadh’s real estate sector and boost supply. He noted that measures aimed at balancing the real estate market provide a strong catalyst for investment and enable the private sector to develop land, helping increase supply, diversify real estate products, broaden options for citizens and beneficiaries, and support homeownership opportunities.
The fund is part of Akron’s five-year investment strategy, which targets a real estate portfolio of SAR 15 billion through carefully selected opportunities in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia, with a focus on asset quality and execution efficiency.
Akron Investment operates across multiple investment sectors. Its portfolio includes Nilover Nama Real Estate Development Co. and Nodar Marketing and Auctions Co.The fund’s launch is part of the company’s strategy to diversify its investments, expand cooperation with financial institutions and contribute to the development of the real estate sector and its role in achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Rouq said SA’AF Capital is licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and has expertise across three key areas: asset management, wealth management, and investment and private banking. Its activities include investment management and fund operation, arranging and advisory services.
He added that Akron selected SA’AF Capital as the fund manager based on its confidence in the firm’s professional and institutional capabilities in investment management and fund operation, supporting the fund’s governance, management efficiency and execution of its investment strategy.
