US crude oil inventories declined for the third straight week during the week ended Sept. 11, according to recent data by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). 
However, the draw was significantly smaller than market expectations, which had anticipated a drop of 1.4 million barrels. The data reflects sustained US oil demand last week, as inventory draws continue amid the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
