RIYADH — The Saudi Civil Defense lifted all emergency alerts on Monday after issuing temporary warnings for potential danger in four southern and southwestern regions and cities. The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced that the danger had passed in the southern Jazan and Najran regions, as well as in Khamis Mushait governorate and Abha city in the Asir region. It emphasized the importance of continuing to follow its instructions and guidelines to ensure public safety. The directorate had earlier issued alerts through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies in the aforementioned regions following a series of cross-border drone and missile attacks linked to Yemen’s terrorist Houthi militia. The directorate initially triggered alarms and mobile notifications urging residents to seek indoor shelter. It urged citizens and expatriates to adhere to official instructions and safety guidelines. The guidelines included staying away from open areas and glass, as well as avoiding balconies and rooftops. Those who remain outdoors were advised to proceed to the nearest safe building or seek shelter behind solid cover. The directorate also stressed the need to avoid gatherings and taking photographs, while staying away from dangerous locations. It further advised against sharing rumors or videos from unknown sources and urged the public to obtain information exclusively through official channels.
