Morabaha Marina Financing Co. (MRNA) said it had appointed Turki Al-Baiz as CEO, effective Oct. 1.
The appointment was approved by the board through a circular resolution on Sept. 1, based on a recommendation from the remuneration and nomination committee, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.
The company said it received the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) no-objection to the appointment on Sept. 13.
Al-Baiz has more than 25 years of experience in the financial and banking sectors, having held several executive and leadership positions.
He founded Ijarah Finance Co. and helped establish the Saudi Financial Lease Contract Registry Co. (SIJIL). He later served as CEO of Ijarah Finance and chaired the boards of both Ijarah Finance and SIJIL.
Al-Baiz has experience in financial services, risk management, governance, compliance and digital transformation, and has contributed to developing digital financial infrastructure aimed at improving transparency, market efficiency and risk management.
He also holds several board and committee chairmanships and memberships and has previous banking experience at Riyad Bank and Samba.
Al-Baiz holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from King Faisal University.
