Miahona Co. stated the General Authority for Competition (GAC) issued no-objection on Sept. 10 for completing the economic concentration transaction to fully acquire Shas Water Co., as part of the regulatory procedures required to complete the deal. 
The company said in a statement on Tadawul that the transaction remains subject to several other conditions, adding that it is currently working to fulfill the remaining conditions precedent and complete the relevant regulatory procedures required to close the deal.
Miahona said it will announce the completion of the transaction once all requirements are fulfilled.
In June, the company had signed a sale and purchase agreement to fully acquire Shas Water Services Co., including its stakes in subsidiaries, for SAR 95.01 million, with the consideration potentially rising to a maximum of SAR 102.71 million, according to Argaam data.
