The Saudi Credit Information Company (SIMAH) announced , during its participation at LEAP, the launch of its second Tier 4 data center, certified by the global Uptime Institute, making a significant step in strengthening its technological readiness for the next stage in the evolution of the credit information industry. Tier 4 represents the highest level of data center classification in terms of availability, reliability, and business continuity.
This achievement reflects SIMAH’s commitment to building a robust, resilient, and scalable technology environment capable of keeping pace with the accelerating growth and increasing complexity of data, while accommodating the advanced requirements of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence applications, advanced analytics, automation, and innovative digital tools, all while maintaining high levels of reliability, security, and service continuity. This readiness comes at a time when the credit information industry is undergoing a profound transformation, moving beyond models centered on collecting and providing information toward more intelligent ecosystems capable of analyzing data, deriving meaningful insights, and developing advanced models that support prediction, risk assessment, and better decision-making. Against this backdrop, SIMAH continues to strengthen the technological foundation required to enable and sustain this transformation over the long term.
Sultan bin Abdulrahman Alqudiry, Chief Executive Officer of SIMAH, emphasized that digital infrastructure readiness represents a strategic investment in the future of both SIMAH and the credit information industry. He said: “The future of credit information will not be defined by the volume of data alone, but by our ability to transform data into knowledge, intelligence, and more accurate and trusted decisions. This is why achieving the highest global standards of digital infrastructure readiness is not merely a technological milestone for SIMAH; it is the foundation upon which we are building the next stage of our evolution”. Alqudiry added: “At SIMAH, we are building a digital environment designed to embrace what comes next, from artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to models and tools that were not possible yesterday. Every breakthrough innovation requires a foundation equal to its ambition, and every technological transformation requires an infrastructure capable of supporting it with security, reliability, and continuity. Tier 4 provides us with one of the most critical pillars of that foundation. Our ambition is to invest in a digital infrastructure that unlocks what data, technology, and innovation can create in the future, while strengthening the efficiency and resilience of the financial ecosystem and advancing the Kingdom’s digital economy”.
This direction further strengthens SIMAH’s ability to develop a more advanced generation of data-driven products and services and prepares its technology environment for the broader adoption of emerging technologies. It also supports the development of more sophisticated capabilities in analytics, assessment, risk management, and decision-making, while enhancing the efficiency of services delivered to customers and partners. SIMAH’s continued investment in its data center also reflects its commitment to building sustainable digital capabilities that can keep pace with future technological developments and the evolving requirements of security, reliability, and governance, while maintaining the agility required to adopt new technologies and models as market and industry needs continue to evolve.
