Naseej International Trading Co.announced that rights trading and subscription period for new shares will begin on Sept. 1, according to a statement to Tadawul today, Aug. 30.
The rights issue trading period will end on Sept. 8, while the subscription phase for new shares will close on Sept. 13, the statement indicated.
Rights holders may exercise their subscription right, in whole or in part, to the new shares in proportion to the rights existing in their portfolios. For registered shareholders and new investors, trading of rights and subscription to new shares will follow the parameters outlined in the prospectus.
Unsubscribed shares and fractional shares, if any, will be offered to institutional investors as specified in the prospectus. Wasatah Capital, the underwriter, will subscribe any offering shares that remain unallocated after the rump offering.
According to data compiled by Argaam, Naseej shareholders approved, on Aug. 26, a capital increase via a rights issue, in line with the proposed plan to address accumulated losses amounting to half of its capital and ensure business continuity, in accordance with Article 132 of the Companies Law.
