RIYADH — Officials of the General Directorate of Passports at the King Fahd Causeway apprehended a Pakistani resident for transporting two Pakistani violators of the border security regulations in a vehicle crossing the causeway to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.The spokesperson of the directorate said that the Pakistanis were referred to the Public Prosecution after completing the necessary legal procedures against them.He emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security regulations into the Kingdom, transports them within the Kingdom, provides them with shelter, or offers them any form of assistance or service shall be slapped with penalties of up to 15 years’ imprisonment and a fine of up to SR1 million, in addition to the confiscation of the vehicle and accommodation used to shelter them, as well as the publication of their name in the local media at their own expense.
