RIYADH — The total number of investment opportunities reported during the first half of this year reached approximately 1,730, spanning 15 sectors, according to a recent report published by the Ministry of Investment. The ministry’s Economic and Investment Monitor report indicated that the chemicals sector ranked first with 511 investment opportunities, followed by environmental services with 259 opportunities and the tourism and quality of life sector with 227 opportunities. The manufacturing sector ranked fourth with 193 investment opportunities. The investment opportunities covered several sectors, with fewer than 100 opportunities recorded in transportation and services; mining and minerals; human capital and innovation; real estate; agriculture and food industries; healthcare and life sciences; information and communication technology; energy; aviation and defense; financial services; and pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. The ministry had announced that approximately 9,018 investment licenses were issued during the second quarter of 2026, representing an increase of approximately 252 period compared to the same period in 2025. The ministry indicated that the increase reflects growing investor confidence and the continued attractiveness of the Kingdom’s investment environment, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom as a leading investment destination.
