In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the reduction followed its request to apply the Executive Regulations for Zakat Collection issued under Ministerial Resolution No. 1007 dated Feb. 29, 2024.

ZATCA approved the application after determining that the relevant conditions were met and the request was submitted within the statutory period, with the reduction resulting from extensive efforts and cooperation between the group’s management and the authority.

Anaam indicated that the positive financial impact will be reflected in its Q3 2026 financial results, and that it will announce any material developments in due course in accordance with applicable regulations.

According to Argaam data, ZATCA had demanded in Feb. 2018 that the group pay SAR 106.93 million in Zakat differences for 1995-2011 and SAR 138,940 in withholding tax for 2007 and 2010.

In June 2021, the group announced that the Tax Violations and Disputes Resolution Committee had issued a decision dated June 23, 2021, accepting some of the company’s objections to the disputed items while rejecting others, with the company having the option to appeal the decision within 30 days.
