RIYADH — The number of passenger transport app trips in Saudi Arabia exceeded 38.3 million in the second quarter of 2026, up 20 percent from the same quarter of 2025, according to the Transport General Authority (TGA). The TGA said that the growth reflects the increasing role of passenger transport apps in supporting urban mobility and providing flexible and safe transport solutions. These services enhance quality of life and improve mobility efficiency across Saudi cities. The apps offer advanced, safe, and highly efficient transport services through diverse mobility options that facilitate access to destinations and improve service quality for users. According to the index, Riyadh region ranked first among the Kingdom’s regions in the number of passenger transport app trips, accounting for 43.8 percent of the total. Makkah followed at 21.3 percent, the Eastern Province at 14.4 percent and Madinah at 5.4 percent.
