Saudi Investment Minister Fahad Al-Saif said the Cabinet’s approval allowing Ministry of Investment-licensed regional headquarters of financial institutions to conduct cross-border financial activities, while granting incentives under the regional headquarters program, reflects the leadership’s commitment to strengthening the investment environment and improving investment efficiency.

The move supports the National Investment Strategy, helps attract high-quality investment into the financial sector and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s position as a global investment destination, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing Al-Saif.

He added that the initiative will create a more efficient, flexible and competitive business environment, strengthening the Kingdom’s ability to attract global companies and support their regional expansion from Saudi Arabia.

According to Argaam data, the Cabinet approved on Aug. 4, allowing Ministry of Investment-licensed regional headquarters of financial institutions to conduct cross-border financial activities approved by the Financial Sector Development Program (FSDP) committee.
