Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) said that, in response to media reports and social media posts published on July 20, regarding ongoing talks with TAWAL over the potential sale of its telecommunications towers, the two parties have held preliminary discussions on the matter.

In a statement on Tadawul, the company said no memorandum of understanding or binding agreement has been signed, except for a confidentiality agreement required by the nature of the discussions, adding that the talks do not result in any financial impact or obligation for the company.

Mobily said it remains committed to promptly disclosing any material developments in accordance with the Capital Market Authority’s (CMa) listing rules and ongoing disclosure requirements.
