Knowledge City names Moath Alyahya as new CEO effective July 19

Knowledge Economic City (KEC) said its board of directors decided on July 9 to appoint Moath Alyahya as CEO, effective July 19, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Alyahya has more than 20 years of experience in real estate development, investment, real estate portfolio management, and leading major projects across the public and private sectors, KEC said.

Most recently, he served as CEO of AlRajhi United Real Estate, where he led the development and management of a diversified portfolio of residential, hospitality, infrastructure, and mixed-use projects, in addition to overseeing several strategic acquisitions and concluding agreements with public and private sector entities.

Alyahya previously held leadership positions at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Osool Integrated Real Estate Co. (formerly Al Raeda), and the Public Pension Agency, contributing to the execution of several major real estate projects in the Kingdom.

He holds a PhD in project management from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, a master’s degree in engineering management from Griffith University, a diploma in public administration from the Australian Institute of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in building engineering from Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University.

In December 2025, former CEO Mohammad Al-Mubarak requested that his employment contract not be renewed. The board subsequently appointed Chief Operating Officer Hazem El Banna as acting CEO.
