CENTCOM said US holds Iran responsible for the recent unprovoked attacks on commercial vessels and their crews
US forces carried out fresh strikes on targets inside Iran, under the direction of Donald Trump, with the aim of degrading Tehran’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on July 8. 
CENTCOM added that the US holds Iran responsible for what it described as the recent unprovoked attacks on commercial vessels and their civilian crews while transiting one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Fars News Agency and Mehr News Agency reported that several explosions were heard near the coastal cities of Bandar Abbas and Sirik.
