RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) intercepted 1,198 smuggling attempts through Saudi Arabia’s customs ports in a single week. The seizures included narcotics, prohibited materials, tobacco and tobacco products, undeclared cash, weapons, and related items. Among the items seized were 114 narcotics, 405 prohibited materials, 2,553 tobacco and tobacco products, 30 cash seizures, and five weapons and related items. ZATCA urged citizens and residents to report any customs violations they witness.
