RIYADH — The Saudi Cricket Federation and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to develop a cricket stadium in Jeddah.The agreement was signed in Riyadh in the presence of Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation, and Pakistan’s Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.The MoU aims to strengthen cricket infrastructure in Saudi Arabia through the construction of a modern international-standard stadium, while promoting cooperation in technical expertise, facility planning, and the adoption of global operational best practices.The initiative is intended to enhance the Kingdom’s readiness to host international cricket tournaments and support the growth of the sport.Prince Saud said the partnership represents a strategic step toward building a sustainable future for cricket in Saudi Arabia by developing infrastructure, strengthening international partnerships, and expanding investment in the sports sector.Naqvi said the agreement reflects the strong cooperation between the two sides and lays the foundation for a long-term partnership that will support cricket development, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and help create an integrated environment for hosting international competitions, benefiting both countries.
