JAZAN — Security patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in the southern Jazan region apprehended a Yemeni national for violating border security regulations after he was found transporting 10 Ethiopian and Yemeni nationals, who entered the Kingdom illegally. All the violators were arrested, and legal procedures were completed before they were referred to the relevant authorities. The transporter has been referred to the Public Prosecution. The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen underscored that facilitating the entry, transport, or harboring of individuals in violation of border security regulations constitutes a serious crime, punishable by arrest. Offenders may face up to 15 years’ imprisonment and fines of up to SR1 million, in addition to the confiscation of any vehicles or accommodations used to harbor violators. The names of the violators will be publicized in the local media at their own expense. The spokesperson also urged the public to report any breaches of residency, labor, or border security regulations. Residents in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province can call 911, while those in other regions can call 999 or 996. He emphasized that all reports are handled with complete confidentiality.
