RIYADH — An expatriate, convicted of practicing health profession without a license, was sentenced to six months in prison and a fine of SR100,000. He was found guilty of violating the provisions of the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions and its executive regulations. The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, arrested the resident for practicing health profession without a license. He was also convicted of promoting the sale of a medically controlled and unauthorized drug used in cases of abortion under medical supervision. The ministry stated that legal action was taken against the violator in the Riyadh region. He was caught during an inspection, which was held as part of its ongoing monitoring efforts to protect the safety of beneficiaries and ensure compliance with the approved health regulations in the Kingdom. The ministry emphasized its commitment to continuing its monitoring campaigns to detect violations of health regulations. It urged the public to report any violations through the unified call center number 937, thus enhancing the protection of public health and the safety of health services.
