The World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC) highlighted, in its 2025 Economic Impact Report for the Middle East, the strong and sustained performance of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector.
Saudi Arabia represents the largest tourism economy in the Middle East, with the total contribution of the travel and tourism sector reaching approximately $178 billion in 2025. This accounted for 46% of the region’s total tourism economy, based on a methodology that includes the sector’s direct, indirect, and induced impact.
The sector’s contribution to Saudi Arabia’s GDP recorded a 7.4% growth in 2025, nearly double the global average growth rate of 4.1%.
The Kingdom also surpassed the Middle East regional growth average of 5.3%, further strengthening its position as the fastest-growing tourism market in the region.
