Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed that Vision 2030has brought about a qualitative shift in the Kingdom’s development journey.
He added that the Vision has also delivered a comprehensive and tangible transformation across the economy, services, infrastructure and logistics, as well as various aspects of social life.
In 2026, the Vision entered its third and final phase, which will run for five years through 2030, maintaining focus on its long-term goals while adapting execution approaches to meet the requirements of the stage. This aims to sustain progress and prosperity, positioning the Kingdom among the world’s most advanced nations.
The Crown Prince stressed that the Vision’s most important investment since its launch has been, and will continue to be, in the Kingdom’s citizens, through developing their capabilities, enhancing their performance and raising their efficiency to position them competitively alongside their global peers.
Further, he directed government entities to continue their efforts, anticipate and seize opportunities, and deliver outcomes that serve the interests of the nation, its citizens and the national economy.
The Crown Prince praised the achievements of recent years, which have driven comprehensive and sustainable national development with the Saudi citizen at its core, aiming for global leadership across various fields.
He added that Vision 2030 is marking the peak of execution for national programs and strategies, with transformation tools reaching their highest levels of readiness, while continuing to achieve its objectives by consolidating the gains of national, economic and social transformation and intensifying efforts to accelerate delivery.
Despite global volatility and economic and political disruptions over the past decade, the Crown Prince said the Vision has maintained progress and achieved strong momentum of qualitative accomplishments through strategic planning and prudent fiscal policies characterized by flexibility and proactiveness in addressing future challenges and opportunities.
This came as the Council of Economic and Development Affairs reviewed updates to Vision 2030, which, following its first and second phases, has established solid foundations for growth across diverse economic sectors and achieved significant progress and gains.
Building on this success, the third phase (2026–2030) aims to accelerate execution, sustain momentum and capture growth opportunities, while continuing government capital spending and strengthening the role of the Public Investment Fund and the National Development Fund in stimulating domestic investment. This is alongside expanding private sector participation, boosting local content, and advancing infrastructure development and service quality.
The council noted that the third phase will also witness the continued rollout of national sectoral and regional strategies as long-term execution tools that complement Vision programs, with broader scope and focus to support the phase’s objectives and ensure sustainable impact beyond 2030.
