The number of bus passengers within Saudi cities exceeded 30 million during the first quarter of 2026, reaching a total of 30.65 million, data from the Transport General Authority (TGA) showed.

Riyadh accounted for the largest share with 19.55 million passengers, representing 63.78% of the total, followed by Makkah with around 4.87 million, and Madinah with 3.40 million.

Jeddah recorded 1.25 million passengers, while the Dammam metropolitan area and Qatif governorate recorded 840,000 passengers.
