The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development starts implementing decisions to raise Saudization rates in marketing and sales roles to 60%, effective today, April 19, following the end of the grace period for private sector firms.

According to SPA, the decisions apply to establishments with three or more employees in these roles.

A minimum salary of SAR 5,500 is required for a Saudi employee to be counted in the marketing Saudization rate.

Targeted marketing roles include marketing manager, advertising agent, advertising manager, graphic designer, ad designer, PR specialist, advertising specialist, marketing specialist, PR manager and photographer.

Targeted sales roles include sales manager, retail sales representative, wholesale sales representative, sales representative, ICT sales specialist, sales specialist, commercial specialist and commodities broker.

According to Argaam data, the ministry announced the decisions on Jan. 19, with a three-month grace period to allow firms to comply.
