PARIS — Construction work at the Expo 2030 Riyadh site has officially begun, alongside continued development of infrastructure and long-term legacy plans, as well as the refinement of the Expo’s main theme and subthemes.Saudi Arabia presented the latest updates during a meeting of the executive committee of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) held in Paris.The Kingdom’s delegation, led by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Climate Envoy and Commissioner General of Expo 2030 Riyadh Adel Al-Jubeir, outlined key progress across multiple tracks.The delegation briefed participants on advancements in infrastructure, construction, design, and master planning, as well as communication and marketing efforts.It also highlighted growing international participation, with a rising number of countries confirming their involvement, underscoring global confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to deliver a landmark edition of the Expo.The updates emphasized the Expo’s role as a global platform and international gathering aimed at developing innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.The meeting comes as work at the site accelerates, reinforcing preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh and its long-term impact beyond the event itself.
